It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara "Barbie Jean" Waldron-Redman on September 24, 2024. Born on July 23, 1953, Barbie Jean brought joy, kindness, and love to everyone who knew her.

Barbara Jean leaves behind a legacy that will remain forever cherished by her beloved and enormous family. She is survived by her husband, Martin Redman, her ex-husband, Robert Waldron, and her loving children, Sarah Waldron, Elizabeth (Waldron) Melillo, Katherine (Waldron) Patty, James Waldron, step-sons Raymond Waldron and Michael Waldron. She also leaves behind her grandson, Declan Patty, and her sons-in-law, Daniel Patty and Christopher Melillo.

We miss Barb beyond words, but we know she is happy to be reunited in heaven with her daughter, Kerri Waldron, grandson Johnny Waldron, father Marshall Ford, mother Sally Ford, and brother James Ford.

Known for her infectious laugh, loving nature, and the generosity of spirit that was so uniquely Barbara Jean, she touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. In the words of her grandson, Declan, “Grammy is my favorite person in the world.” We believe that anyone who had the privilege of having her in their lives would say the same thing.

Barb loved The Beatles, and they said it best when they sang “All you need is love”. Barb not only instilled this in her children but lived every day spreading love to others. She left a mark on every person she encountered. Whether it be fellow church goers, her hospice care team, or even complete strangers, anyone she met walked away feeling loved, cherished, and important.

Barb was a true believer, often spending her time in worship at church and most importantly, with her family. Her life was dedicated to her family, and her life’s goal was to raise a family of believers who loved God and loved others. Before her passing, she learned of her final grandson’s baptism. With tears in her eyes, she expressed how ecstatic she was for him, and how it’s the most important thing a parent can do and be a part of. She passed three days later, knowing that her job was complete.

We know that her light shines on in the hearts of those who loved her. Through her children, her legacy of love will continue.

Ultimately, it was heart disease that took her too soon. We wish we could prevent others from being taken by the same, so in lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a contribution to the American Heart Association at the following URL: https://everloved.com/life-of/barbara-waldron-redman/donate/
