Barbara was born and raised in Elizabeth City, NC. She graduated from Elizabeth City State University with a Masters Degree in Education. This led to her moving to Raleigh, NC in 2000 where she taught for many years. She has 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Barbara is the second oldest sibling and loves to say she was the favorite. Barbara always had a kind spirit and loved serving in her church and being a second mom to any child she came across. Her life will continue in so many people and family members.
