Obituary

Barbara Amelia Baczynski, born on January 3, 1941, in Fresno, California, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, in Goodyear, Arizona. She was the beloved wife of Joe Baczynski, with whom she shared a joyful 64 years of marriage before his passing.

Barbara, affectionately known as "Bobbie" in her childhood and "Barbie" among friends, was a talented chef, having run Barb’s Party Service and worked in Fry’s Catering Department and Bob’s Big Boy. Her culinary skills shone through not only in her profession but also in her love for cooking for her family, with a particular fondness for Mexican and Italian dishes.

Beyond her culinary talents, Barbara was a gifted ceramic artist, creating beautiful pieces that showcased her creative spirit. She loved to decorate cakes and was known for her amazing dance moves alongside Joe. A proud grandmother, she cherished her grandchildren—Josh and Ivanna Head, Derrick Head, Emily Head, and Ashley and Nick Tozzi—and her great-grandchildren, Tatum and Tobias Head and Scarlett Tozzi. Her pride in her family was evident, and she loved them more than they could ever know.

Barbara was a vibrant personality, characterized by her funny, kind-hearted, and sometimes stubborn nature. Her honesty was refreshing; people knew they would always receive an unfiltered answer when they sought her opinion. This authenticity made her beloved to those who knew her.

In addition to her family life, Barbara was actively involved in the community as a young mother, participating in the PTA, serving as a dance mom, and being the “kool-aid” house for neighborhood kids. Her home became a gathering place for friends and family, where laughter and love thrived. Even as her children grew, she remained a steadfast supporter, attending pageants, movie screenings, and fashion shows with pride.

Barbara's love for the New York lifestyle, her favorite place, was matched only by her passion for watching the news, enjoying game shows, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, Phoenix Suns, and Diamondbacks. She could often be found playing on her iPad or shopping, always with a smile.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Cyndee Baczynski-Martin, and her husband Johnny Martin, along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a spirit that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
