It is with unimaginable grief that we announce the passing of Ashleigh Rich Ellman - after a short but hard-fought battle with an aggressive form of cancer, on Sunday, May 29, at Morristown Medical Center.
She was a devoted mother, a loving wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, an interior designer, a yogi and a world traveler. She was everything to so many people. She will always be remembered for her unforgettable eyes, the warmth of her presence and the bold colors and patterns she always surrounded herself with. Her legacy and memory will forever live on through her soulmate and life partner of the past 18 years, Scott, and their two baby boys, Hunter and Bennett, whom she loved more than anything. She was the beloved daughter of Stephen and Eileen Hrobuchak Rich, Clarks Summit; a sister to Jonathan Rich, Scranton; her in-laws, Brad and Rita Ellman, Wellington, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Sean and Sharon Ellman, and their son, Levi; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Ashleigh was a graduate of Abington Heights High School, class of 2003, and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Taylor, and the Church of St. Bededict, Clarks Summit.
Family and friends are invited to attend Ashleigh's Mass of Christian Burial, which will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of St. Benedict, 1849 Newton Ransom Blvd., Clarks Summit, to be celebrated by Monsignor Michael Delaney, pastor. Interment will follow in Milwaukee Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Semian Funeral Home LLC, 704 Union St., Taylor. Parastas services by the Rev. Eduard Shestack will be at 3:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in Ashleigh's name maybe made to ASERT, paautism.org; or the New Jersey Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
