Arthur Earl Gibson, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully departed this life on February 23, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on June 14, 1940, Arthur lived a life defined by dedication, strength, integrity, and unwavering love for his family.

A proud native of Detroit, Michigan, Arthur dedicated over 35 years of loyal service to General Motors. His strong work ethic, commitment, and pride in his craft earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. He carried that same dedication into every aspect of his life, serving as a pillar of strength for his family and community.

Arthur was a man of quiet dignity and timeless style, known for his warm smile, gentle wisdom, and the steady presence he brought into every room. He believed deeply in family, faith, and hard work, and he instilled those values in the generations that follow him.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife, Yovette Gibson; his beloved children, Mia Gibson, Tia Gibson, and Arthur Earl Gibson II; and his treasured grandchildren, Chelsea Shaw, Alexis Shaw, Page Gibson, Mario Gibson, and Jada Gibson.

Arthur also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Though he is no longer with us in body, Arthur’s legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will live on through his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure.
