April Tolliver, born on July 22, 1965, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025. A dedicated professional, April spent over 20 years in the janitorial field before returning to her education to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. This achievement led her to a fulfilling career as a paralegal.

Above all, April took immense pride in her role as a mother and grandmother. She cherished her children: Janier Johnson (Jeremy) of Seaford, DE, Preston Handy of Laurel, DE, Cynthia Tolliver (Ivan) of Georgia, and Johnny Tolliver of Georgetown, DE. April's legacy is further carried on by her nine grandchildren, who brought her boundless joy.

She is survived by her beloved grandmother, Mary Ellen Diggs of Clarksville, DE, and her mother, Cynthia Finney (Thomas) of Greenwood, DE. April also leaves behind her siblings: Kimberly Houston (Jerome) of Laurel, DE, Jaimey Showell of Greenwood, DE, Edith “Retta” Finney (Clifford) of Georgetown, DE, Frederick “Fred” Finney (Camilla) of Laurel, DE, Timothy “Timmy” Finney of Greenwood, DE, and Jodi “Becky” Finney of Salisbury, MD.

Known for her loving and strong personality, April held her family close to her heart. She celebrated holidays with great enthusiasm, especially Christmas, and was always bold and direct, unafraid to speak her mind. April's spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
