On May 3, 1985, the world was graced with the birth of Appollonia Yjotika Henry, a beacon of
light and joy. Born in Frankfurt, Germany to Linda D. Henry and Michael L. Henry, Appollonia,
affectionately known as Apple, was the beloved sixth child out of seven. Her spirit was as
vibrant as her personality, and her warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she
encountered.
Apple’s early years were spent under the loving embrace of a supportive family that cherished
her every step. She and her siblings shared an extraordinary bond, marked by laughter,
adventures, and unending affection. Her move to Arkansas and later to Los Angeles did nothing
to diminish the strength of these connections; instead, they enriched them, weaving a tapestry
of love that spanned across states and countries.
In Los Angeles, Apple was surrounded by her devoted siblings—Michael J. Henry Jr., Patrick M.
Henry, Keith J. Henry, Lori D. Louis, and Angela C. Louis. Her family also includes eleven
cherished nieces and nephews: Ci’Onna J. Bentley, Stephen A. Louis, D’Kota D. Hinton-Louis,
Kamari L. Henry, Jazlynn Henry, MiLynn P. Henry, Lia C. Henry, Rene Henry, Michaela Henry,
and Adam Henry. Each of them was a recipient of her boundless love and affection, her
nurturing spirit evident in every interaction.
In Arkansas, Apple leaves behind her grandfather M.C. Miles, uncles Marvin Miles and Charles
Miles, and aunt Deborah Louis-Miles, along with her uncle Bobby Miles. Her family also extends
to Atlanta, where her brother Dean P. Louis and niece Sloan M. Louis reside, among other
relatives.
Apple was a force of nature, her presence electrifying any room she entered. With a wit that
could bring laughter to even the darkest day and a generosity that knew no bounds, she was
always ready to help those in need, offering not just material support but her heartfelt
compassion. Her stories, jokes, and spirited energy created an atmosphere of joy and love
wherever she went.
Tragically, Apple’s vibrant life was cut short by a hit-and-run accident. Her sudden departure
has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Yet, the community of family, friends, and
acquaintances who were touched by her spirit will forever carry her memory. Apple’s legacy is
one of unyielding love, boundless laughter, and an enduring kindness that will never be
forgotten.
As we say goodbye to a remarkable soul, we take comfort in knowing that her light, her
laughter, and her love will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. Apple will be deeply missed,
but her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched.
A celebration of Apple’s life will be held at [location], with details to be announced. In lieu of
