ony was a proud father and grandfather who doted on his 5 grand children. He was very much a family man and would do anything for them. He was such an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan that he bled green and was ecstatic when they finally won a Super Bowl! As a man of service he was a member of the Venice Moose, American Legion Post 159, Venice -Nokomis Elks, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Nokomis Aerie 3482.

Military Service
He enlisted in the in the US Navy at the age of 19, proud to serve his country. His last duty station was Naval Airbase Jacksonville where he was transferred to the Naval Reserves in October 1963, as a Second Class Petty Officer.
