In Loving Memory of

Anthony Lamar Watson “Marty”

August 24, 1969 – May 11, 2026

Anthony Lamar Watson, lovingly known to many as “Marty” and “Tony Dancer,” departed this life on May 11, 2026. Anthony was a man full of creativity, laughter, and vision. An entrepreneur at heart, he had a remarkable mind that could turn almost any idea into reality. Whether working on computers, creating business ventures, or rehabbing homes alongside Brother Morris—who was like a father to him—Anthony took pride in building and creating.

Anthony graduated from CAHS in 1987. He was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness who truly enjoyed being in the field ministry, going door to door and sharing his faith with others. He loved life, enjoyed making people laugh, and had a sense of humor so contagious that he would often have himself laughing the hardest.

Anthony was preceded in death by his sister, Tasha Jones; his grandmother, Roena Watson; his grandfather, Charles Watson; and his uncle, Tony Watson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother, Cynthia Watson; his brother, Daryl Watson (Kimberly Watson); his sister, Jackie Jones; his six children, Anthony Watson Jr., Marquis Watson, Nyjah Watson, Madison Watson, Xamoria Watson, and Andonia Watson; his aunt, Patsy Watson; his uncles, Harold Watson and Michael Watson; his nephews, Daryl Jones, Edward Bates, Darrius Watson, Desmond Watson, and Darel Jones; his niece, Tiane Jones; along with a host of cousins, family members, and his childhood close friend, Glen Bush.

Anthony’s laughter, creativity, and loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
