Annie Sue Harris, affectionately known as Skippy, was born on September 23, 1931, in Memphis, TN. A mother, and grandmother, Annie most recently called Chicago, IL, her home.
Annie led a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to her family. She was a faithful servant of God, finding joy in her home and family above all else. Her culinary delights included her favorite dishes of catfish and coleslaw, which she often prepared for family gatherings. In her leisure time, Annie cherished the soothing melodies of old Christian hymns, which resonated deeply with her spirit.
Annie's strength was her superpower; she was a strong woman who accomplished what needed to be done with grace and love. Her proudest accomplishments were her loving family, including her daughters: Linda S. Smith, Derby A. Cadle, and Carolyn D. Harris. She took great joy in her grandchildren: Antwaun, Anthony, Nicole, Clifford, Quincy, and the numerous great-grandchildren who filled her life with laughter.
Annie often shared her wisdom with those around her, reminding them, "Pray and wait on God to answer." This belief guided her through life’s challenges and joys. Her favorite saying, “pray about it and wait and see what God does,” reflected her steadfast faith and optimistic outlook.
Annie's beautiful heart and unwavering spirit touched everyone she met. She will be remembered not only for her warm smile but also for the love she poured into her family and her commitment to her faith.
We'll plant real trees for you in Annie's memory and display your contribution forever.
