Annette was born to Henry and Rebecca Milford on July 2nd, 1957 in Chicago, IL. Out of ten children, five being girls, she was the baby of the crew. Annette lived a colorful life and always woke her mind; it was her world and everyone else lived in it.
When Annette was attending King College Prep, nothing stood in her way when it came to involving herself in extracurricular activities. From volleyball to swim and even journalism, Annette knew what she liked and wanted. Here at King she met her high school sweetheart Nuel Benford. The couple would go on to marry and conceive four children; Angela, Julius, Alexis and Adriana.
On the 28th of July Annette transitioned. She leaves her memories with her beloved daughters~ Angela, Alexis and Adriana; her loving nine grandchildren~ Arion, Shequan, Javar, twin brother and sister Brendasia & Brendell, Jarrod, twin sisters Journey & Jourdyn, Andre and her first great-grandchild A'Harie. She also leaves her memories with her sisters Geraldine, Josephine and Barbara Ollie; along with her brothers JC, Henry, James, and Thomas Ollie.
She lived her life to the fullest along with life trials. A beautiful soul indeed, Annette's essence lives on. Her spirit is within all who knew and loved her. She loved everyone and was always welcoming. Annette's heart was too pure for a world like this. With a welcoming smile, she feed many, cared for many and opened her home to those who needed. Annette was the company to be kept, cherished and loved.
Annette dearly missed her son Julius (who precedes her) and her older sister Wilma (who also percedes her. I know just like her arms and heart her mother Rebecca, her father Henry, her sister Wilma, her brother Billy and her son Julius are squeezing her tightly upon her arrival to a place where peace is known and felt.
We'll plant real trees for you in Annette's memory and display your contribution forever.
