Anna attended Santa Rosa Junior College and graduated with honors from the University of California Berkeley in 1975 in Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources. She graduated from Empire Law School in 1995.
Anna taught high school mathematics, science and history in several Sonoma County Schools before relocating to Lake County in 2000 where she taught school in Lake and Mendocino Counties. She was also a grant writer, who successfully wrote grants to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Bureau of Land Management to protect and restore the water quality in the Clearlake Watershed Basin.
Anna is survived by sisters Marie K. Struven, John dec., Helen Kimberly Sharrocks, Clive and brother Bill Kuziara, Debra. Nieces and nephews Bailey and Gavin Sharrocks, Dell Dellinger, Jacqueline Dellinger Hall, and John and Camille Kuziara.
Anna was an avid horsewoman getting her first horse at age nine. She owned and rode horses all of her adult life.
Anna belonged and was generous to numerous charitable organizations including Sierra Club, Nature Conservancy, Humane Society, St. Joseph's Indian School, Habitat for Humanity, Friends of Boggs Mountain, Lake County Land Trust among many others.
Anna was a member of the United Unitarian Community of Lake County where she met and enjoyed the company of many friends.
The most enduring memories of Anna's family and friends is her easy laugh, smile and being a true believer, she could make the world a better place for nature, animals, education and her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County, 3810 Main Street, Kelseyville, California 95451 on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
