Anita Scott, known affectionately as Nita, was born on April 2, 1955, in Harlem, NY. She most recently resided in Greenville, SC, where she cherished her time with her husband, Phil Scott, with whom she shared 20 wonderful years of marriage. A devoted mother and grandmother, Anita was a pillar of strength for her family, leaving behind two children and one beloved grandchild.
Anita was a registered nurse whose compassionate nature and dedication to helping others defined her medical career. She was multilingual and often used her skills to connect with those in need, embodying her belief that “there’ll be good days, there’ll be bad days, but there’s always today.” Her kindness, wisdom, and patience were traits that endeared her to many.
Anita had a passion for cooking and baking, often preparing her favorite island dishes for family gatherings. She loved spending time with her loved ones, and her favorite place in the world was Jamaica, where she could immerse herself in the culture and cuisine she adored. Music was a significant part of her life, particularly the sounds of Darell Jones, which filled her home with joy.
Anita enjoyed watching shows like Law & Order, but her true happiness came from the time spent with her family. She was known for her nurturing spirit, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her legacy of love and generosity will be cherished by her husband, children, grandchild, and many friends.
