Andrew "Andy" Wilkinson, a man with infectious laughter and a knack for turning a wrench as easily as he could turn a frown upside down, sailed off on his final fishing trip on September 19, 2024. Born on March 7, 1962, he was 62 and resided in West Warwick, Rhode Island.
Andrew was known for his kind-hearted nature and stubbornness. He always brought laughter to those around him. His greatest joys were his daughter, Andrea, and grandson, whom he adored. He was incredibly friendly and always eager to help his friends and family when they needed him. He was a dedicated carpenter who perfected his work and took great pride in it. His hobbies were not just pastimes; they were his way of spreading joy and creating memories with anyone fortunate enough to join him.
He leaves behind a toolbox full of love for his mother, Rita Reid, his siblings Tony Wilkinson, Lesley Dussault, Jane Wilkinson, and Michelle Costa, his daughter Andrea Wilkinson, and his littlest sidekick, his first grandson, Jaxon Andrew Hames, also known as "The Junior Fixer."
Andrew's stepfather, Alfred Corriea, who undoubtedly welcomed him with a heavenly hug, passed away before Andrew. Following Andrew's final wishes, there will be no sad services. He was a man who believed that life should be a party, not a pity party.
Let's raise our drinks to the sky in honor of Andrew. Share a story, crack a joke, and always remember: "When life gives you nails, build something amazing!"
We'll plant real trees for you in Andrew's memory and display your contribution forever.
