Andrew “Andy” Taylor, beloved son, devoted boyfriend, and nationally celebrated high school football star, passed away tragically on April 28, 2025, at the age of 18. His vibrant life was cut short in a car accident that also claimed the life of his younger sister, Sasha Taylor. The loss has deeply impacted not only his family and friends but also the entire community that watched him rise with greatness, humility, and heart.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Andy was a once-in-a-generation talent who left an unforgettable mark on and off the field. Named the #1 high school football player in the nation, Andy’s fierce determination and unmatched skill earned him recognition across the country. But for those who knew him best, it was his compassion, humor, and boundless energy that made him truly exceptional.

A proud member of the Beta Club, his school’s marching band, and the state championship-winning football team, Andy balanced his many achievements with a grounded sense of kindness and responsibility. Whether cracking a joke or lending a helping hand, his presence made a difference. One of his favorite sayings—“What’s up your butt so far that makes you so mad?”—never failed to put a smile on someone’s face, reminding everyone not to let life’s frustrations get the best of them.

Andy is survived by his loving parents, Marcus and Deidra Taylor, who supported him throughout every ambition and victory, and his girlfriend, Adriana Ross, with whom he shared his dreams of the future. His bond with his sister Sasha was unbreakable; losing her alongside him has left an immeasurable void in the lives of his family and friends.

Despite his extraordinary accomplishments, Andy remained grounded in his Christian faith, always striving to help others—especially when they didn’t expect or believe they deserved it. His giving spirit, sharp wit, and relentless positivity inspired those around him to be better, both on the field and in everyday life.

A celebration of Andy’s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Brookhaven on Saturday, May 10, at 11:00 a.m. All who knew and loved Andy are welcome to attend and share memories of his remarkable life.
