Andrew was born and raised in a Christian home and practiced many different religions before Converting to Paganism in 1989 after attending a Baptist University that taught him the real truth of the Christian faith and love. He vowed that no one was allowed to cry at his passing because "not a fucking tear was shed for me while I was alive, so why start now?"
Andrew Pineda, beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on June 4, 2024, at the age of 56. He was born on December 23, 1967, in Colorado City, Texas, and most recently resided in Corvallis, Oregon.
Andrew was known for his passion for karaoke, music, and brewing beer. He had a deep admiration for bands like the Cure and Tori Amos, and his love for their music brought him great joy throughout his life. He became a father in 1992 and cherished his role as a dad. Andrew also had the opportunity to meet Tori Amos in person in November of 1996, which was a memorable experience for him.
Crater Lake held a special place in Andrew's heart, as it was his favorite destination in the world. He was an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and loved following their games. Professionally, Andrew worked as a laborer and DJ, bringing his enthusiasm for music to the community.
Andrew will be forever remembered by his parents, Arturo Sr. and Senaida Pineda, his siblings Angela Haltom, Saul Pineda, Juan Alberto Pineda, Arturo Pineda Jr., and Enrique Pineda, and his children Andrew Xavier James Pineda II and Adrian Alexander Pineda. He was also blessed with two grandchildren, Andrew Solus Pineda III and Syrus Orion Pineda.
In his spiritual journey, Andrew was born and raised in a Christian home but later converted to Paganism in 1989. He was proud of his convictions and believed in embracing different religions. Andrew held a unique perspective on life and had a favorite quote that resonated with him: "Never underestimate the power of Stupid People in Large groups; just look at Religion and the Republican Party."
Andrew's passing leaves behind a mix of emotions, as his defining personality traits included his unending pessimism and lifelong battles with depression. He requested that an open bar be set up at his funeral, hoping that it would entice family and friends to attend, for love seemed elusive during his lifetime.
Although Andrew had his struggles, he impacted the lives of those around him in various ways. Whether it was through his love for music, his dedication to his children, or his unique perspective on life, his presence left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
As we bid farewell to Andrew Pineda, let us remember the moments shared and the lessons learned. May his soul find peace, and may his loved ones find solace in their memories.
