Andrew loved to fish and tinker with cars. He enjoyed spending time with his 7 grandchildren and his wife.
Andrew loved catfish, mashed potatoes, and greens. He was a good ol southern boy.
Andrew never learned to read, but that didn’t stop him from raising a family of 10 and working full time to support them.
Andrew loved spending time at the local bar. He could out drink a fish and no one would be any the wiser.
Andrew loved spending time in Dawson Springs, Ky but home was always Springfield Tennessee.
Andrew was an avid wrestling fan and he also enjoyed Dukes of Hazard.
Besides wrestling Andrew wasn’t much for sports.
Andrew Theiry, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 73. He was born on February 19, 1951, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, and resided in Springfield, Tennessee in recent years.
Andrew was a man of simple pleasures. He found great joy in fishing and tinkering with cars. Spending time with his seven grandchildren and his wife brought him immense happiness. A true lover of Southern cuisine, Andrew delighted in dishes such as catfish, mashed potatoes, and greens.
Despite never learning to read, Andrew's determination and hard work allowed him to raise a family of ten and establish himself as a successful carpenter, proudly owning his own business for forty years. His favorite motto, "Ope, I stepped on a frog!" captured his lighthearted approach to life.
Andrew's love for his family was immeasurable. He cherished his 68-year marriage with his devoted wife, Mae. His proudest accomplishments were his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.
Known by his nickname, Buffalo, Andrew never had a mean bone in his body and remained unfazed by life's challenges. His infectious smile brought happiness to everyone he encountered.
In his free time, Andrew enjoyed watching wrestling and the television show Dukes of Hazard. While sports were not his passion, wrestling had a special place in his heart.
Although he loved his hometown of Dawson Springs, Kentucky, Springfield, Tennessee was always home to Andrew. He also loved spending time at the local bar, where he could enjoy a drink in good company.
Andrew Theiry is survived by six of his children, ten grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, Andrew's family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as he found joy in seeing others happy. Andrew's simple and giving nature will forever be remembered and cherished.
