Obituario
Andre Jones, born on April 11, 2022, peacefully passed away in is parent's arms on January 20th 2023.
Dre was 9 months old, and spent his 9 months battling CHD as he was born with a rare heart defect, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Andre underwent 8 open-heart surgeries, including a heart transplant. He was a fighter until the very end and was always the proudest of himself with any accomplishment.
Andre always had a smile on his face, but he also mastered his side eye, aimed mostly at his many nurses and doctors at Saint Louis Children's Hospital, where he spent most of his life.
Though Andre's time on this earth was short, his story and fight touched many lives. Dre was loved so deeply by everyone who was involved in his life. Andre is preceded in death by his Great Great Grandmother Joyce Wolfe, and Dre Preceded his Great Grandmother Sheila Renee Widemon by 3 days.
Andre is survived by his parents Angel & Mollie Jones, Grandparents Melody & Wesley Jeffcoat, Stephan Almond & Regina Almond, and Bobby & Sherry Jones.
Dre's family is holding a Celebration of Life for Andre on February 4th at 4:00 PM at West Side Baptist church, and afterward will release lanterns in his honor. The family is requesting all visitors wear red or blue to help raise awareness for CHD.
