Bobby Billings, and wife, Wendy of Chilhowie, VA. Betty Billings, and partner, Don Coulthard of Sarasota, FL.
Significant other, Tom Golen. Amy had many living aunts, uncles and cousins in Chilhowie, VA, Saltville, VA, Mountain City, TN, and Asheville, NC who dearly loved her. She had too many friends to count, but some special names are Susie, Robin (several... You know who you are), Chrissy, Dena, Diane, and Bill just to name a few.
Amy's faith grew deeper as she courageously battled cancer. She was an inspiration to so many. One of her last requests, a few weeks before she passed, was to be baptized by immersion. On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, she literally took the plunge in the community pool at her mother's housing community, and made a public confession of her faith in Jesus Christ. Pastor Chris from Bayside Community Church had the privilege of baptizing her. Amy was glowing with joy when she came up from the water! It was a beautiful celebration witnessed by a small gathering of family and friends.
After graduating with a Bachelor's of Science degree from Radford University in 1990, she went on to have a successful career in sales and marketing. Her true passion was discovered and embraced in PILATES . She transformed her body, she was the picture of perfect health and fitness . She then shared that passion and helped others do the same . Amy was an inspiration 💗. She was the best Pilates Trainer and Spin Coach in Sarasota. She also did physical fitness, strength, and stretching coaching for several private clients.
her dogs. She loved all of her dogs and took such great care of them... as they were her babies: Beauregard (Beau), Daisy Mae, Jake, Lucy, and Bella Rosa. She had an absolute soft spot and love for rescue dogs where she also happily volunteered her time at shelters. All of Amy's dogs were fortunate to have been rescued by Amy.
Bean Point at Anna Marie Island in Florida. She was able to take many special trips there with her family and friends.
Pinto beans and cornbread. She often recalled how the aroma took her back to her Granny Billings' home and how much she enjoyed the food and the love. She also loved salmon with fennel, Curry, Caprese salad (and it had to be made with burrata cheese), and crunchy peanut butter (You're not a true Billings if you don't eat peanut butter...lol)
She was crowned Miss Chilhowie. She won a Cornhole tournament, with her friend Dena, in Naples, Florida. Her motto on her business card was: "Be Your Best Self." Amy was full of life and laughter, and had unstoppable energy.
Cooper's Hawk in Sarasota, Florida. She loved the potstickers.
