Amarr's favorite hobbies

As a toddler, Amarr loved his Hot Wheel car collection. He loved collecting and wearing different baseball hats. He also shared a love for different types of socks, especially with different cartoon characters on them. Later on in his life around 15, Amarr learned that music was an expressive outlet that let him explore a new found love of the art . Something that just started off as a hobby quickly became and artistic passion that showcased a natural capability to the art of music. Music became something productive that him and his little step-brothers bonded over and very close friends.

Amarr's favorite foods

One of Amarrs favorite foods were pancakes, (made by mom) IHop was his favorite place, especially when it all you can eat pancakes. Amarr would literally hurt himself if you let him. His other favorite was homemade mac and cheese. When he was little, he called it the Thanksgiving kind, when it was a request that he wanted for dinner. Amarr was not a candy, or sweets kid, he wanted soul food. He wanted steak and potatoes, gravy over rice, baked chicken and meatloaf, so say the least.

Amarr was an active child, full of energy, and excitement. He literally ran before he could walk, and climbed on any and everything he could. Amarr started playing sports at the age of 5. T-ball was his first sport, we noticed his agility and his natural capability during his first game when the other kids couldn't get him out, because of his speed and determination to touch the homeplate. Amarr played Basketball, Baseball, Boxing, but Football is where his passion showed up. He exceptionally excelled in football. Football was a passion that him and his father shared who was a coach, taught him the game. Amarr adapted quickly and was a natural.

Amarr A'Shawn Murphy-Paine, lovingly known as The pooh pooh, Marr Marr, and BabyYanks, was born on December 30, 2006, in Renton, WA. He peacefully passed away on June 6, 2024, in Seattle Wa.

Amarr brought joy and laughter to those around him with his infectious smile, determination, and unique personality. As a toddler, he found delight in collecting Hot Wheel cars, wearing various baseball hats, and showcasing his extensive collection of socks with cartoon characters. Growing up, Amarr discovered a passion for music, which became an artistic outlet for him and a means of bonding with his little brothers and close friends.

When it came to food, Amarr had a love for soulful dishes like his mom's homemade pancakes, especially when it was an all-you-can-eat pancake extravaganza at IHop. He also enjoyed the Thanksgiving-style mac and cheese and savory meals like steak, potatoes, gravy over rice, baked chicken, and meatloaf.

Amarr's energy and athleticism shone through his involvement in various sports. From an early age, he displayed agility and natural talent in T-ball, basketball, baseball, and boxing. However, it was football that ignited his passion, as he excelled in the sport, following in the footsteps of his father, who coached him. Amarr's tenacity and skill on the football field were truly remarkable.

In addition to his athletic pursuits, Amarr achieved academic success as a high-school Honor Roll student. He took pride in his education and strived for excellence in all areas of his life.

Amarr's proudest accomplishments included his achievements in football, music, and academic excellence. Notably, he secured a job at the Great Wheel on the downtown Seattle pier, showcasing his determination and work ethic.

Amarr will be deeply missed by his mother, Sherrica Mccall, his father, Arron and LaKisha Murphy-Paine, his brothers Jah'Lil James, Jah'Zaire Golden, and Jah'Kahi Golden. He is survived by his maternal grandparents, H'Rail and Tammy Walker Jr., his grandmother Simone Mccall, and his paternal grandmother Veronica D. Murphy. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Adriel B. Paine II. Amarr was also cherished by his bonus grandmother JoAnn Hughes. His godparents, Christ and LaChristy Holiman, god brothers Dae'Sean and Travon, and godmothers LaTonya Minnis and Tay Higgins shared a special bond with him. He leaves behind a multitude of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and a village of coaches, teachers, mentors, pastors, counselors, and kind-hearted individuals who shared his infectious smile.

Amarr's impact on the lives of others was profound. With his heart, cheerful demeanor, sense of humor, and unique style, he left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He was involved in church groups, summer programs, football camps, and mentorship programs, embodying his belief in the power of community and giving back.

Amarr's spiritual journey led him to accept God into his life at the age of 16. His faith was an integral part of who he was, providing comfort and strength.

Amarr A'Shawn Murphy-Paine will always be remembered for his smile, determination, personality, swagger, and talent. His love, kindness, and infectious sense of humor touched the hearts of those around him. While he may be gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
