Loved watching WVU football and going to his favorite restaurant’s. He recently returned to WV after living in Florida for a short time.

He coached senior league baseball for 11 years and loved every minute of it. One year, he even led his team to the state championship.

College Football
During his career he worked at Visco and Monsanto, both in Nitro WV, until a car accident forced him into retirement.
Peanut graduated from Buffalo High School in 1961, where he lettered in both Football and Basketball. His 1961 Basketball team is receiving the honor of being inducted into the Buffalo High School “Hall of Fame” this year.
He is survived by Robin Parsons, Rick and Heidi Parsons, and Becky Combs Parsons. His grandchildren Andrew Parsons, Codi and Brian Burford, Ashley Parsons, Shae’ Parsons, Brandon Pryor, Brittannie Combs, Christian and Ali Combs, Mackenzie Combs and Asher Combs. His great grandchildren Trinity, Aubree, Easton, Connor, Evelyn, Donna, Isaac, Sage and Magnolia Mae. His Sister June Williamson and brothers Terry, Kenny, and Denny Parsons.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Schowen Cemetery located at 20 Cemetery Rd, Bancroft WV, 25011. We will begin celebrating at 2:00pm and would love for anyone who wishes to join us to come out and share this special time of honoring Peanut’s memory.
