Fred was an avid gardner. His property featured beautiful granite raised gardens with paths and seating.
Fred was a talented contractor with an eye for design and detail, a copy of architectual digest could be found on his coffee table.

Fred spent much of his adult life on Worden Pond where he loved riding his speed boat or towing water family water skiers.
Fred was proud to be a Marine, serving two tours in the Viet Nam after high school.
Alfred Joseph Houle, III, lovingly known as Fred, passed away on May 10, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on August 12, 1944, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Fred spent most of his life in Richmond, Rhode Island, where he created a haven of beauty on his property.
Fred's deep passion for gardening was evident in his meticulously designed granite raised gardens, complete with charming paths and cozy seating areas. He had a keen eye for design and detail, which was reflected not only in his gardens but also in his home, where a copy of Architectural Digest could always be found on his coffee table.
One of Fred's greatest joys in life was caring for his rescue dogs. He found solace in their companionship while tending to his beloved garden. Additionally, Fred had a love for outdoor activities, particularly spending time on Worden Pond. He cherished the moments spent riding his speedboat or towing his family members on water skis.
Fred's strong sense of duty led him to serve his country as a Marine. After high school, he proudly served two tours in Vietnam. His commitment to his fellow Marines and his country was a testament to his character and bravery.
Alfred Joseph Houle, III, will be remembered as a talented contractor, a devoted gardener, and a loyal friend. His love for his rescue dogs, his passion for gardening, and his dedication to serving his country will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his friends and family, who will continue to honor his memory and carry on his legacy. May he rest in eternal peace.
