Alex Gerardo Gonzalez, affectionately known as "Gordo," was born on April 5, 1978, in Rincón, Puerto Rico. He passed away on September 16, 2024, in Winter Haven, Florida. Alex was a devoted husband to Marie Gonzalez and a proud father to Alissa Portillo, Alex Gonzalez Jr., Marlo Gonzalez, and Ahias Gonzalez. He cherished his family above all else and found immense joy in being a father.

A man of many interests, Alex loved fixing cars, fishing, and hunting. He was especially fond of his favorite dishes, particularly Arroz con Gandules y Chuleta. Known for his outgoing and humorous personality, Alex brought laughter and light to those around him.

He is survived by his beloved children, his parents, his sisters, and several nieces, who will remember him for his kindness and vibrant spirit. A practicing Catholic, Alex's faith played an important role in his life and values.

Alex will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, as his legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
