In Loving Memory of Alec Salcido

Alec Salcido, born on May 19, 1981, at Brookside Hospital in San Pablo, California, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, hard work, and deep connections. Alec grew up in El Sobrante, California, where he attended school and graduated from De Anza High School in 1999.

Raised in a close-knit family, Alec, along with his many Salcido cousins, was nurtured under the loving care of his grandparents, Feliciano (Chano) and Marsulema (Nena). This strong family foundation shaped Alec into a man who valued family and community deeply.

Much like his grandfather, Alec poured himself fully into his work, a trait that earned him leadership positions at a young age. He treated his workplace as an extension of his family, fostering a sense of camaraderie and belonging wherever he went. Although he grew up in El Sobrante, Point Richmond was a significant part of Alec’s life. He was dedicated to the Up and Under Pub, a place that became his platform to connect with both locals and visitors alike. Alec’s presence there was marked by his attentiveness, care, and his unique charm as the “lovable asshole” everyone adored and trusted.

Alec Salcido’s untimely passing is a profound loss to his mother, Lillian Salcido, his extended family, and countless friends. His memory will be cherished deeply, and his impact on those who knew him will never be forgotten.
