Agatha Sciancalepore, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 30, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on May 6, 1942, in New York City, NY, to the late Paul and Anna Lombardi. Agatha resided in East Northport, NY, and cherished her family above all else.
Agatha had a deep love for her family and found tremendous joy in caring for them. Her late husband, Crescenzo, was her rock and constant companion throughout their life together. Agatha was a dedicated mother to her daughter, Roseann, and son, Dominic. She adored her daughter-in-law, Luci, and son-in-law, Corey. Her grandchildren, Ryan, Angelina, Crescenzo, and Ronalia, held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her devotion to family, Agatha had a passion for horses and deer. She had one pet in her lifetime. Angel was a little pug who she loved to spoil. She enjoyed sharing stories of her favorite childhood summer in Rhinebeck at a dairy farm. She loved engaging in conversations with friends, family, and even strangers she encountered while walking the streets of Astoria. Agatha had a warm and welcoming personality that made others feel valued and heard.
As an active member of the community, Agatha served as the PTA President for Bryant High School, where she made a positive impact on the lives of students and their families. She also found solace in her Roman Catholic faith and was devoted to Our Lady of Fatima. One week before her passing, her children brought her to see the Lady of Fatima statue that travels the world from Portugal.
Agatha's favorite pastime was watching Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel, the news and game shows which brought her immense joy and comfort. She also loved shopping on QVC. Her love for Italian, Chinese, and any homemade meals was evident, as she relished every meal shared with loved ones.
Agatha Sciancalepore will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of selflessness, love, and care will continue to inspire and guide those whose lives she touched. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
