October 26, 1965 – November 6, 2024
With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Adetunji Alfred Adekunle on November 6, 2024, at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability. Born on October 26, 1965, in London, United Kingdom, to Mr. Abu and Mrs. Adenike Adekunle, Alfred was a beloved husband, cherished friend, and respected colleague.
Alfred was known for his gentle and easygoing spirit, his warmth, and his ability to bring out the best in those around him. Throughout his life, Alfred embodied kindness, resilience, and unwavering integrity. He was a devoted husband to Kikelomo, sharing a life rooted in love and companionship, and was a trusted friend and confidant who offered steady support and thoughtful advice to all who knew him.
Professionally, Alfred was respected for his dedication and ethical standards. His colleagues admired him for his commitment to excellence and honesty, qualities that defined his character and left a lasting impact.
In 2017, Alfred faced a sudden and challenging journey following a cardiac arrest that left him in a coma. For eight years, he remained surrounded by the love and care of his family and medical team. His family’s faith and devotion never wavered, and they remained by his side, inspired by the strength of his character and the love he showed them throughout his life.
Alfred passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, surrounded by the compassionate team who had cared for him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, integrity, and love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
