Abraham Talley was a Jehovah’s Witness associated with the Miller Beach Congregation in Gary Indiana for the last year of his life after moving from Rock Creek Congregation in Kansas City Missouri where he was baptized on April 26, 2009. He was involved in the Christian Ministry. He really enjoyed spending time with his family and friends most of all. He enjoyed eating good food and cooking. Soul food was his favorite. He was an avid listener of all types of music. He enjoyed listening to music when he was alone, so that he truly never felt alone. He always said music was created by 8 notes and music was for thinkers and it touches souls by bringing people of all races together. That was true cause he had a voice, sang outward at meetings and sang a solo Kingdom Melody called “He Will Call” at our last family night gathering a few weeks ago. He truly put his hope in Jehovah. Little did we know that he would only be with us for a few more weeks when he sang that song. His voice was a gift from Jehovah as well as his photographic memory!
Chicken Wings, Crab salad from Golden Corral, Rotel Cheese Dip, Rib tips, beans with ham-hocks and corn bread, wings, turkey and all the fixings. Soul Food , He loved pies, cakes, and sweets.
Kingdom Melodie’s, Sting, Miles Davis, Jazz, Pink, Phil Collins, and many more.
He was like a Dapper Dan because he dressed up in a unique stylish way. He loved nice fancy hats, he loved to wear nice clothing, and was always complimented by family & friends about his attire. He liked to play cards for fun with friends, and could play any card games for hours. If the TV was on he was watching football and always recalled playing football throughout his school days. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan too. He quoted scriptures from memory and could recall all the fascinating stories about Bible prophecy which he held all faith that these Bible prophecies will come to pass soon.
Learning about, and serving Jehovah. Studying, and sharing the Bible was his favorite pastime even before he was officially baptized. Serving Jehovah was his life and 1st love, and his second love was his Family. He spent countless hours reading the Bible. He loved visiting and spending time with family and friends. He liked sharing his wisdom with his family and friends, and spending time with his grandkids, fishing, and watching football.
He had traveled quite extensively in his younger years, but he really loved spending time at home in his apartment in Gary Indiana towards the end of his life, and attending meetings regularly with his family at the Kingdom Hall at the Miller Beach Congregation in Gary IN.
The Crown, movies about history, and documentaries.
