Ronald Joseph Lee, known to many as Joey, passed away on May 6, 2024, in Indianapolis, IN, at the age of 57. He was born on November 23, 1966, in Indianapolis, where he lived most of his life.
Joey was a man of many interests and hobbies. He loved hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, and spending time with his family and friends. Cooking, poker, and cornhole were also among his favorite pastimes. He had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed exploring the outdoors. Joey had an appreciation for all types of food and could often be found trying new dishes. His taste in music ranged from bands like Cold and Slipknot to Pantera.
Known for his kind-hearted nature, Joey never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He would go above and beyond for those he cared about and had a reputation for giving the shirt off his back.
Above all, Joey cherished his daughters, Cassandra and Brittney. They were the lights of his life and brought him immeasurable joy. He was immensely proud of them and their accomplishments.
Professionally, Joey worked as a carpenter for 30 years, leaving a lasting mark on the projects he undertook. He was known for his dedication and skill in his craft.
Joey, will be dearly missed by his loved ones. He is survived by his daughters, Cassandra and Brittney; step-mother, Paula; siblings, Sandi, Stephanie, Chris, and Bub; many nieces and nephews.
Joey was preceded in death by his father, Ralph; mother Susan; grandmothers Irene and Geneva; grandfather Ronald and nephew Joshua.
A ceremony to celebrate Joey's life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 1pm at Garfield Park Conservatory and Sunken Garden, located at 2345 Pagoda Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46203. (under the pavilions) In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Alcoholics Anonymous at www.aa.org, in honor of Joey's struggles and his desires to overcoming addiction.
