Wilma Turner entered into eternal rest Friday April 19th, 2024. She was a native of Waverley, Tennessee and Wichita, Kansas. Survived by sister Victoria Turner and brother Devin Williams. Wilma spent her first 19 years living in Tennessee when she would then Marry the love of her life Van Turner as they decided to move to Wichita Kansas to start a family and career. After moving to Kansas Wilma got a job in the medical field as an assistant and worked from home in her office nearly her entire career. Her spouse Van would proceed to join the military and fight in the Vietnam War graciously surviving. Wilma was a mother of 6 children Crystal Franks, Vanessa Turner, Charity Buchanan, Chasity Buchanan, Ashley Buchanan, Monique Buchanan. Devoted grandmother of Jalen Allen, Alexus Allen, Aiden Allen, Aubrey Allen, Alana Allen, Ashyln Allen, Cameron Franks, Jordan Franks, Tiara Buchanan, Whitney Buchanan, Jada Washington, Brittney Washington, Damien Buchanan. Wilma was always family oriented as she’d plan parties for birthday’s, graduations, and any special occasions including the Buchanan family reunion dating back in 2010 which brought out 100-150 family members from across the nation. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of First Baptist Church of New Zion our invited for her celebration of life this Saturday April 27, 2024.
