Vernetta Brown, lovingly known as Ms B, passed away on February 18, 2024, in Los Angeles, California. She was born on September 12, 1944, to her parents Ann and Eddie, who preceded her in death. Vernetta's three sons, Aron, William, and Shon, also preceded her in death.
Vernetta was a vibrant and outgoing person who loved to live life on her own terms. She cherished her independence and never wanted assistance when going anywhere because that was her time. One of her favorite pastimes was taking the bus to her favorite fast food restaurants, where she would engage in lively conversations with her friends.
When it came to food, Vernetta had a particular fondness for greens, oxtails, neckbones, and beans. She truly savored her meals and found great joy in indulging in her favorite dishes.
Above all, Vernetta loved sharing her experiences with the people she met. Artis, Low, and a host of LB's .Whether it was talking about her travels or exchanging stories about life, she always had a tale to tell. Her warm and engaging personality made her a beloved figure in her community.
Professionally, Vernetta worked as a childcare worker. She took great pride in her role and found fulfillment in caring for children. However, her proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly raising her three sons and providing them with love and support throughout their lives.
Vernetta is survived by a host of grandchildren and loved ones whose lives she touched. She also welcomed her sons' friends into her heart, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone could enjoy life's experiences together.
Vernetta will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her vibrant spirit and loving nature will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
