The world lost a beloved Mother, Grandmother,Sister and Friend.

Karen Elaine Martin better known as “Kem”passed away on Sunday January 29,2023 at St Luke’s Baptist Hospital in San Antonio,Texas .Kem was born in Corpus Christi Texas on August 14,1957 to the late Riley and Bonnie McDaniel. She was pre deceased by her Father Riley McDaniel, Mother Bonnie McDaniel, Brother Riley McDaniel, Jr. (Butch) and Granddaughter Zoey Evangeline Martin,Much Loved Husband Paul Wesley Martin, and Beloved Son David Anthony Martin.

Kem is survived by her Sister Peggy Ann McDaniel-Cowart(Pam)and husband Bill,Beloved Son John Martin ,Daughter in Love Char-Mae Martin , Brother in law Phillip Martin (Denise),Sister in law Elizabeth Emmons , sister in law Alene McDaniel,sister in law Patricia Bratu , Grand children Zemarie , Riley, Mason, David & Danielle Martin. Nieces Nikki Emmons and Tiffany Martin also Nephews Christoper McDaniel (Treasa),Riley (Billy) Elizabeth McDaniel ,Phillip Emmons (Nicolette), Alex Emmons (Jackie), Michael Harvey (Derek). Also Great Nephew Izaiah Villanueva-Martin plus more.

Kem worked at First Commerce Bank for close to 30 years where she developed lifelong friendships and an appreciation for learning and growing in the Mortgage and Financing department.Her childhood was an idyllic time in her life, which she recalled fondly. Kem loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren . She enjoyed fishing, cooking and most of all arts and crafts.Kem was a genuine,fun, and loving soul. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life and her relationship with her family was cherished. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, colleague and friend. She touched the lives of so many people and will truly be missed and never, be forgotten.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life, which will be held at

Travis Baptist Church in Corpus Christi Texas on Friday February 17,2023 service time to be determined.
