Interesting facts about Jerry

Jerry met her husband to be, Sonny in 1946 at a local park where he claimed she tackled him in a game of football They married March 17, 1950 They had 4 children a loving and actively involved mom and was once recognized as Mother of the Year in Raleigh, NC She loved learning and trying new things She had a real sense of adventure as she and husband traveled to Australia, Austria, China, Great Abaco and several of the United States At 75 she and Sonny sailed their boat to Marsh Harbor and lived on the boat for 3 months Singing was a big part of her life she was able to travel to Vienna, Austria with a local chorale she won first place in the NC State Senior Olympics for her performance of America.

She is survived by children Cindi White Kilfoyle (Ned), Gary White,Tim White (Josie) and grandchildren Taylor Kilfoyle, Chad Kilfoyle(Donna), Kaitlin Kilfoyle, Jonathan White (Barbara), Wilson White (Jordan) Eli White, Kyle Grose (Emma), Holland Grose, four great grandchildren, sister Doris Young, niece Laury Young Holley and nephew Doug Young. Predeceased by husband Sonny White daughter Lou Anne White Grose, sister Katherine Moyle and parents John and Louise McKinney.
