James "Jim" Combs, a beloved father, brother, and union brick layer, passed away on June 24, 2024, at the age of 52. He was born on April 2, 1972, in DeKalb County, IL, and had been residing in Rockford, IL at the time of his passing.

Jim had a deep passion for music, and his favorite bands included Guns N Roses, Led Zeppelin, and AC/DC. He found solace in the melodies that resonated with his soul. Above all, Jim cherished his children, Colton and Kaitlin Combs, and his brothers, Josh and Benjamin Combs. His love for them knew no bounds.

San Diego, California held a special place in Jim's heart, as it was his favorite destination. Its sunny beaches and vibrant atmosphere brought him immense joy and relaxation. He often dreamed of returning to its shores someday.

Known for his outgoing nature, sarcastic wit, and great sense of humor, Jim was a joy to be around. His light-hearted personality and infectious laughter lifted the spirits of those fortunate enough to know him. Jim's warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who were touched by his presence.

In addition to his children and brothers, Jim is survived by his parents and other extended family members. His legacy will live on through the memories shared by those who loved him.
