James Anthony Buchart, lovingly known as Jim, was born on July 6, 1960, in Louisville, KY. He most recently resided in Chesapeake, VA. James retired from the United States Navy after dedicating 27 years of service to our country, ultimately reaching the rank of Command Master Chief. He was highly respected by the men and women he served beside and took great pride in his military career and the medals, achievements, and awards he received.
James had a passion for disc golf, often enjoying the sport with his late son. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as indulging in fly fishing and working on his Jeep. He was also known for attempting DIY projects around the house, even if they weren't always successful. James was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, never missing a game.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family. James was married to Eduvelsa Buchart since February 12, 1982. Together, they created a comfortable life for their family. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren – Nicole, Caylee, Jace, Erin, Maddy, Hannah, Rylan, and Caycen – as well as two great-grandchildren, Ava and Easton.
James had a unique sense of humor and enjoyed dropping one-liner jokes, even if others didn't always find them as funny as he did. He had a memorable habit of playfully slapping foreheads after asking if someone had a fever. James was always willing to help his children and grandchildren learn new things and set an unforgettable example of what a father and husband should be.
A Baptist Christian, James found solace in his faith throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
