Spending time with his family; Wife of 60 yrs., 2-sons, 2- grandsons, daughter-n-law, and 2-granddogs. Loved the game of golf both playing and watching his youngest son play college, mini-tours, and on the PGA Tour.
Steaks and fish, vegetables, and salad with ice-tea, lemon and a glass of water unless he skipped to dessert for a nice slice of pecan pie.
Grew up listening to southern blues, jazz, and Baptist Gospel.
Born in Nashville, TN. Played college football at Murray State in Kentucky where he met his future wife. Managed a successful environmental service business 22+ years. Always going out of his way to help others.
Spending time with his family when he wasn't working at Home Depot Tool & Rental.

Granville L Hicks, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on July 8, 1944, in Nashville, Tennessee, and most recently lived in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
Granville had a deep love for his family and cherished spending time with them. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, two sons, two grandsons, daughter-in-laws, and two grand dogs. They were the center of his world and brought him immense joy and happiness.
One of Granville's favorite pastimes was playing and watching the game of golf. He took great pleasure in watching his youngest son play college, mini-tours, and on the PGA Tour. Granville also enjoyed indulging in his favorite foods, which included steaks, fish, vegetables, and salad, accompanied by a refreshing glass of iced tea, lemon, and water. And, of course, he couldn't resist a slice of pecan pie for dessert.
Music played a significant role in Granville's life. He grew up listening to southern blues, jazz, and Baptist Gospel, which resonated with him deeply. Granville also had a strong passion for sports. He loved watching golf, football, hockey, horse racing, and Olympic sporting events.
Granville had a remarkable career managing a successful environmental service business for over 22 years. He was known for always going out of his way to help others and was a true source of inspiration to those around him.
When he wasn't working at Home Depot Tool & Rental, Granville loved nothing more than spending quality time with his family. Whether it was on a golf course or at home, he cherished every moment he got to share with his loved ones.
Granville's favorite place in the world was in the company of his family. He found solace and contentment in their presence, and their happiness was his proudest accomplishment. He often expressed that they were his greatest achievement and the source of his joy.
In his downtime, Granville enjoyed watching the nightly news and didn't mind catching the latest Transformer movies. He found pleasure in staying informed about the world and indulging in some lighthearted entertainment.
Granville L Hicks will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his love, kindness, and dedication to his family. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
