Frank Witherspoon, Sr.

1935 – 2024

Frank Witherspoon, Sr. was born on December 21, 1935 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas to the union of Dudley and Bertha Witherspoon. Frank served in the United States Army during the Korean War. While serving overseas, Frank was an amateur boxer who had the memorable opportunity of sparring with the late great heavy weight champion, Sonny Liston.

Frank married his late wife, Estella Virginia (London) Witherspoon in 1958. They expanded their family with five children. Frank worked as professional truck driver with the Anderson Tire Company and Pacific Intermountain Express for many years.

Frank will be remembered for his love of family, friends, and community. His sense of humor and the ability to make people laugh will always be unmatched.

God called Frank into eternal rest on Sunday morning, February 25, 2024. Those proceeding him in death are his wife, Estella; daughter, Frances; his parents, and eight siblings. Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, Andre Martin, Frank Witherspoon, Jr., Ricardo Martin and Christopher Witherspoon, his sisters, Wanda Robertson, and Lillie Bell King; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
