Floyd Ray Walker Jr., lovingly known as Butch, passed away on April 30, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on August 13, 1944, in Fort Worth, TX, where he also spent most of his life.
Floyd had a passion for baseball, Las Vegas, and spending time with his dogs and grandchildren. He enjoyed indulging in all types of food and had a fondness for the music of Elvis Presley, Elton John, and Johnny Cash. Floyd was a printer by profession and took great pride in his work.
Butch cherished his daughter, Vanessa Hernandez, and his grandchildren, Estellita Rivera, Noah Caldera, Manny Hernandez, and Marcus Hernandez. He was also a beloved father-in-law to Manuel Hernandez and Carlos Rivera. Floyd had a close bond with his nieces and nephews, Elisa Gonzalez and her spouse Manuel Gonzalez, Sandra Flores, Cynthia Flores, Phillip Hernandez, and Jason Castro.
In his leisure time, Floyd would often relax and watch TV shows such as The Simpsons and Family Guy. He was an avid sports enthusiast, with baseball and football being his favorite games.
Butch had a soft spot for his dogs, Marley Walker and Jack Jack Walker, who brought him joy and companionship throughout the years. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Floyd Ray Walker Jr. will be carried to his final resting place by his pallbearers: Vanessa Hernandez, Estellita Rivera, Noah Caldera, Manny Hernandez, Marcus Hernandez, Manuel Hernandez, Carlos Rivera, and Manuel Gonzalez.
He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and selflessness. Throughout his life, Floyd dedicated himself to helping others and made a lasting impact on those around him. He will forever be remembered and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones. Floyd will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on.
